Meet the Local Election Candidates for your Area
As part of our role in connecting communities to local government, Wicklow PPN in collaboration with Wicklow Older People’s Council will hold online Meet the Local Election Candidate events ahead of the elections on the 7th June.
The events will run on Tuesday and Thursday evenings during May from 7.30pm to 9.30pm as follows:
- Tuesday 7th May Arklow MD
- Thursday 9th May Baltinglass MD
Tuesday 14th May Bray MD (East)Rescheduled to Tuesday 28th May- Thursday 16th May Bray MD (West)
- Tuesday 21st May Greystones MD
- Thursday 23rd May Wicklow MD
- Tuesday 28th May Bray MD (East)
There are over 55 candidates running in the Local Elections across the five Municipal Districts of Co Wicklow this year. These candidates are seeking positions that could make a real difference in our lives and to the communities in which we live.
Our Meet the Candidate events will allow member groups to find out about the candidates running for election in their Municipal District.

These events will run online using the Zoom webinar platform. This platform will ensure that the events will run in an efficient, fair, and respectful manner for all.
As time will be limited for each session questions will be grouped, and more common themes/questions will be prioritised.
Questions submitted by our member groups will be sent to candidates ahead of the meeting where possible. Members will also be permitted to submit questions (through the Zoom webinar Q&A function) on the night, and should time be available we will put them to candidates.
We are asking that questions be submitted 6 days in advance of the date for the session (eg. for Arklow MD session which will be held on the 7th May questions should be submitted by 5pm on the 1st May).
