We are recruiting a Resource Worker (Job share)

The new Resource Worker (job share) will work with Helen, Grainne and the Secretariat team ensuring that Wicklow PPN continues to grow and support its member groups to the best of its ability.

Background:
Public Participation Networks (PPNs) were set up to be the main link through which local authorities connect with community & voluntary, social inclusion and environmental groups and organisations.
The PPN has 3 main functions:
- To provide a structure and process for Co Wicklow community groups to nominate community representatives to decision and policy making bodies in the county. Facilitating opportunities for communities to feed into policies that might impact on their quality of life
- To act as a channel for information between various local and national bodies and Co Wicklow community groups
- To support member groups to grow, develop and be informed
Organisational Structure: Wicklow PPN is hosted by Wicklow Travellers Group CLG. Wicklow Travellers Group CLG is responsible for the employment of the County Wicklow PPN Workers and complies with all statutory employment obligations
Requirements: Co Wicklow PPN is looking for someone with community development experience, and administration skills, who can support the PPN Secretariat, current PPN Resource Worker and the PPN Support Worker in implementing the actions of the PPN Workplan.
Through submission of a CV and covering letter, applicants should provide:
- Evidence of knowledge & understanding of the Public Participation Network
- Evidence of working with community groups
- Evidence of community developmental & administration experience
- Evidence of experience in relation to the required duties as laid out in the Job Description
- The names of 2 organisations where the applicant has provided similar services and contact details of who may be contacted for references.

Duration & Salary Scale: Salary will be paid between Point 9: €42,606 and Point 18: €53,251 pro-rata of the Wicklow Travellers Group Development Workers Scale commensurate on experience. Working time will be 3 days/21 hours per week. Contract 1 year duration with subsequent years subject to funding.
Notes: This position is funded by the Department of Rural & Community Development and Wicklow County Council and hosted by Wicklow Travellers Group CLG.
