Submission: The Environment as Wicklow’s Greatest Economic Resource

Wicklow PPN’s Environmental Representative, Huw O’Toole, has submitted a powerful call to action to the Wicklow County Council Economic Development & Enterprise Strategic Policy Committee.  His message highlights that Wicklow’s environment is not only vital to our wellbeing but is also our greatest economic resource—one that must be protected and prioritised in all areas of local planning and development.

The submission draws on findings from the latest EU report on the State of Europe’s Environment, which warns of Ireland’s declining environmental standards and urges stronger, faster action.
