Wicklow County Council Tidy Towns, Estates and Sustainable Development Awards 2024
Friday, 6 Sep 2024
11:00am – 5:30pm
Closing Date: Friday 19th July. There’s a couple of schools awards within the SDG and Schools have to Friday Sept 6th.
The awards are an opportunity to recognise the work done across the county to protect our environment, use resources with more care, and to develop sustainable communities.
The awards originated as the Tidy Towns Main Street and Estates competition and this is still a core part of the awards. The work of these groups ensures our towns and communities are always presented at their very best while protecting biodiversity and heritage.
In addition to the two categories above, WCC have added an extensive list of Sustainable Development Awards in recognition of the innovative work being done in our communities to deliver on Climate Action and the protection of our Biodiversity. These awards recognise the diverse range of projects and actions delivered whether by local groups, our schools or the business community. Topics covered include waste, energy, biodiversity and water. Groups are also able to nominate a local champion.
