WCC Climate Action, Biodiversity, Environment, Energy, Marine, Recreation and Amenity SPC
This SPC has responsibility for the implementation of the Climate Action Strategy and Biodiversity Plan.
It will also work on other plans and strategies with climate action and biodiversity goals and objectives such as the LECP – Environmental matters and on the Recreation and Amenity brief including Arts and Libraries.

Emma Smith
West Wicklow Environmental Seat
Emma Smith is a member of West Wicklow environmental network since 2019 she is on the WWNE committee and is currently the PRO. She is also part of Hollywood community forum and St. Kevin’s way group Hollywood which runs a number of walks during the year. She sits on the Wicklow PPN Secretariat.
Emma is very interested in communicating in a friendly useful way about the environment and thinks that everyone can do their bit no matter how small. Because of her work in the community and in the environmental area she will bring extensive knowledge and a local west Wicklow focus to this SPC.
Justin Ivory
East Wicklow Environmental Seat
Justin is a Co. Wicklow native with a live-long passion for wildlife
and conservation. Justin has over 25 years’ experience of active
involvement with environmental organisations, projects and
initiatives at local, county and national level. He has been involved
in biodiversity projects, initiatives, field surveys and monitoring
schemes. Hs is a regular contributor to species sighting reports. He
also has a keen interest in environmental education and outreach.
