WCC Climate & Biodiversity Action SPC
Wicklow County Council Climate Change and Adaptation Strategy, 2019 – 2024, adopted by WCC in September 2019 has committed Wicklow County Council to mainstreaming climate change, both mitigation and adaption.
The Climate & Biodiversity Action SPC will give councillors and relevant sectoral interests an opportunity for full involvement in the policy making process from the early stages.

Sharon Jackson
West Wicklow Environmental Seat
Sharon Jackson is a trained secondary school teacher and mother of 2. She is a committee member of Tearmann community Garden since 2015. Following 4 years of extensive research she has a wide range of knowledge of climate change, biodiversity and environmental issues. She gives excellent detailed workshops to transition year students, building awareness of all environmental problems facing us, She has an immense interest in all aspects of environmental research. She has been living in West Wicklow since 1996.

Justin Ivory
East Wicklow Environmental Seat
Justin is a Co. Wicklow native with a live-long passion for wildlife
and conservation. Justin has over 25 years’ experience of active
involvement with environmental organisations, projects and
initiatives at local, county and national level. He has been involved
in biodiversity projects, initiatives, field surveys and monitoring
schemes. Hs is a regular contributor to species sighting reports. He
also has a keen interest in environmental education and outreach.
