WCC Economic Development & Enterprise Strategic Policy Committee
The Economic Development and Enterprise Support SPC has responsibility, along with the Local Community Development Committee, for the formulation of the Local Economic and Community Plan (LECP) which will set out the objectives and actions needed to support economic development and local and community development. The SPC is also responsible for the following: Tourism Strategy, Skills Strategy, Film and Food and the Local Enterprise Office.

Huw O’Toole
Environmental College Rep on the ED&ES SPC
Huw has been a member of the Economic Development & Enterprise SPC for the last number of years. Huw is highly engaged with environmental and community issues and operates a business that seeks to combine the challenges of environment and community in Wicklow. Huw was born and raised in Wicklow and has a wide range of experience in the built environment and environmental matters.

Jean Ryan
Social Inclusion College Rep on the ED&ES SPC
Jean has worked with the Highlanes Gallery in Drogheda since 2022 where she gives a talk with each exhibition in their annual program.
Again, her focus is to explain why the exhibition looks the way it does and highlight some of the many decisions the featured artist made in their creative process. This involves research into art history and theory which is specific for each artist.
She was invited to the Board of Signal Arts Centre in 2023 and also sits on their members sub-committee.
Jean has an M.Phil in Art History and an M.Sc. in Biomedical Sciences.
