Co Wicklow Children & Young People’s Services Committee
The purpose of the Children and Young People’s Services Committee is to secure better developmental outcomes for children through more effective integration of existing services and interventions at local level – in other words, encouraging and supporting organisations providing services for children to work together to get the most benefit for those services.
In doing so they hope to ensure the following outcomes for children in Co Wicklow:
- Healthy, both physically and mentally
- Supported in active learning
- Safe from accidental and intentional harm, and secure in the immediate and wider physical environment
- Economically secure
- Part of positive networks of family, friends, neighbours and the community, and included and participating in society.
Our PPN Representative
Yvonne Murray
Yvonne has been the Coordinator of the Connect Bray Neighbourhood Youth Project since 2001.
The project works with the young people and their families in the most disadvantaged areas/estates in Bray and provide services programmes and activities to improve outcomes for young people to face multiple disadvantages.
Yvonne has gained a wealth of knowledge and expertise in both her direct work with young people and also in identifying the needs of young people and the barriers and issues that affect them.
Yvonne is one of the founding members of the Bray Anti Child Trafficking Group and is also a member of the Bray School Completion Project in addition she attends the CSFN as the representative of the Youth Project.
Yvonne has represented the PPN on CYPSC in the past and has been also actively involved in the CYPSC Subgroup outcome 5 – ‘Connected Respected and Contributing to their Community’.
Yvonne can bring a range of skills expertise and knowledge of good practice to her role on CYPSC.
