Coimisiún na Meán has opened its Media Literacy Countering Disinformation Micro Fund, offering grants of €500 to €3,000 to community and voluntary organisations delivering local media literacy activities.

The fund supports grassroots groups, including community and voluntary organisations, Broadband Officers in Local Authorities, Local Action Groups and community training programmes to deliver free, in-person activities such as workshops, drop-in clinics, talks by experts, and awareness events that help people spot mis- and disinformation.

A second strand, the Innovation Fund, offers up to €25,000 for collaborative projects between two or more organisations.
