A new Gender Equality Funding Call is being made available under the Employment, Inclusion, Skills and Training (EIST) Programme 2021–2027.

The fund will support projects that promote gender equality and help improve women’s access to employment, activation measures, career progression opportunities and economic empowerment. Particular focus will be placed on supporting women who experience barriers arising from gender inequality and other forms of disadvantage.

Applications are welcomed from:

• Public sector organisations
• Private sector organisations
• Voluntary and community organisations

Applicants will need to demonstrate that their proposed project is additional to their existing activities.

The scheme aims to support projects that:

• Promote gender equality
• Improve women’s access to employment opportunities
• Support participation in activation and training measures
• Enhance career progression opportunities
• Increase economic empowerment
• Address barriers linked to gender inequality and multiple forms of disadvantage

A total allocation of €1.9 million is expected to be available over the lifetime of the funding call.

Grants are expected to range from €100,000 to €200,000.
