The Festivals (Call 2) Scheme 2026 is open to relevant local groups to provide them with the opportunity to develop arts festivals or elements of festivals that are are run and implemented through the medium of Irish or of which language-based arts are an integral part between 01 June – 31 December 2026.

This scheme focuses on festivals that aim to foster and promote the Irish language, Irish language arts, indigenous arts and Irish language heritage. to promote it through the medium of Irish or bilingually, as an integral part of the festival, and to provide a platform for the Irish-speaking community, the wider community and the arts sector.
