The purpose of the Children and Young People’s Services Committee is to secure better developmental outcomes for children through more effective integration of existing services and interventions at local level – in other words, encouraging and supporting organisations providing services for children to work together to get the most benefit for those services.  

In doing so they hope to ensure the following outcomes for children in Co Wicklow:

• Healthy, both physically and mentally
• Supported in active learning
• Safe from accidental and intentional harm, and secure in the immediate and wider physical environment
• Economically secure
• Part of positive networks of family, friends, neighbours and the community, and included and participating in society.
